Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #25

Welcome to a 'spooky' edition of the Stampin' Celebration challenge! I hope you have time to join us and upload your creation to our team blog! We love having you all play along with us!
The inside of the card:
Right side panel:
Here's how I made this card:

1)
Cut card base to 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" out of Basic Black cardstock, score, and fold in half.
2) Cut a 2-1/8" piece from the front of the card so it leaves just a left pane and cover with Designer Series Paper (I used Razzleberry Lemonade (Retired) then add Elegant Eggplant ribbon
3) Cut inside layer of Lovely Lilac cardstock to 4" x 5-1/4" then adhere the Green Galore Latch piece (5-1/2" x 1-1/2") behind it before adhering to the Black card base
4) Using the 3-16" Corner Rounder punch, I rounded the edges of the Green Galore Latch
5) Using the Word Window punch, punch opening for the latch to glide into (about a 1/2" in)
6) With the Big Shot, I cut out a die-cut tag in Basic Black cardstock for the sentiment, stamped 'Trick or Treat, Scary & Sweet!' in Lovely Lilac ink on Whisper White cardstock, then punched out with the 1-1/4" Square punch, adhered to the black tag and added the Library Clip to the top!
7) My 'tree' is from the Birds & Branches die. The 'grass' is a strip of Green Galore cardstock, cut with the Scallop Edge punch, then I cut triangles out of each scallop to look like blades of grass. Then I used the Billboard Alphabet die to get the 'boo' sentiment!
8) Stamped sentiments from the 'Grateful Greetings' set in Basic Black ink on both sides of the latch then added a touch of orange with the Flower brad in the corner! Spooky huh!?! =)

Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #8

It's another adorable Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge! We have a super fun challenge for you that's just perfect for pink and flowers! When I saw these photos, I immediatley thought of the Fancy Flower Punch and had to use that on my project for this challenge! Hopefully you'll be inspired and join us this week! We'd love to see your creations! Here's what I came up with - a card and Matchbox filled with Hershey's Nuggets!

Just a Little Note Card

Stampin' Essentials Tips:

  • My card was based upon this week's Mojo Monday sketch! I really like the cattywampus (such a fun word!!!) square panals on this card! I used 3-1/4" squares and layered 3-1/8" squares on top!
  • The 'Just a Little Note' sentiment is a SNEAK PEEK to the NEW Apple Blossoms Hostess Level 2 stamp set that will be in the new 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog! It's adorable set exclusive to Hostesses or those that place an order of $300 or more! As demonstrators, we got to pre-order a Level 1 and Level 2 stamp sets from the the new IBC. One of the many benefits of being a SU Demonstrator!
  • Love felt? The Flower Fusion felt flowers (110720) were a super addition to my flower centers! These cuties are on the LAST CHANCE ACCESSORIES List! I strongly suggest stocking up on your favorite supplies on that list before they are gone for good!

The Matchbox below is in my June 2010 Card Kit #2! You get all the supplies to create your own plus my inspiration sample!

Get Well card for Brooke!

I made this bright and cheery card for my friend Brooke who has been super sick for over a week now! I sure do miss her smiley face, and pray that she gets better soon!

My card today is based upon the incredible color challenge at Stacey's Curtain Call! These colors include: Summer Sun, (Retiring), Apricot Appeal (Retiring), Rose Red, Regal Rose, and Whisper White! I was also inspired by the super cute square card sketch challenge at Inkspirations!

Stampin' Essentials Tips:
  • I made my card size 4-1/4" Square so that it can still fit inside a standard A2 envelope! Since I had some extra room to play with on the length - I put my butterfly a little 'off' the page! Looks like it's taking flight, uh!?! Just something different! =)
  • The Razzleberry Lemonade DSP is retiring this June! Check back to my Stampin' Essentials blog for all the details on what will be retiring! I used the Crushed Curry floral patterned paper for my background! It looks so much like Summer Sun to me! This is actually my favorite patterned paper from that pack!
  • My layered butterfly was cut from several different colors of card stock using the Beautiful Wings die! You can get {6} butterflies from this one die! All the edges were inked with their cooresponding ink using Sponge Daubers for a subtle inked look!

Here for You, Clean and Simple Style!

This is my first time playing along with the Clean & Simple (FTL#74) card sketch! This was super fun, plus I also incorporated the color challenge from the Colour Q blog! I think these colors are super bright and cheery together! I busted out a new stamp set that I haven't ever used before! The Stampin' Up! Greenhouse Garden set is a very pretty 2-Step Stampin' set!
Stampin' Essentials Tips:
To distress the paper, I just crumpled it up, recrumpled it and bended the corners! Very easy! So I might be just a little bit paticular about my flowers so I ended up lining everyting up with my stamp-a-ma-jig! The stems are stamped in Bravo Burgundy Classic Ink, but they almost look brown, huh? To add just a little touch of embellishments, I used a wire clip and tied some grosgrain ribbon through the top! Super easy and simple! My sentiment is from the Friends 24-7 stamp set (I just love the vintage look of this font), then I stamped it in Melon Mambo ink!

Hello Baby

Trying new, cool tricks with my punches is so FUN! I had a blast creating this baby card and making a baby carriage with my Stampin' Up! 3/4" Circle Punch! My card layout is based on the sketch challenge from the Taylored Expressions blog! The colors are from a color challenge at the Play Date Cafe blog and the theme of a Baby card was posted at the Cupcake Craft Challenge blog!
Stampin' Essentials Tips:

Don't you love this baby carriage! Oh my goodness I think it's SO cute! You can easily make this too, let me tell you how I made it! I punched out a 3/4" circle out of Whisper White Textured card stock, then cut out the opening about a 1/2" down and all then all the way to the side! Then I used my Scallop Edge punch and punched out some pink DSP from the Razzleberry Lemonade paper pack and layered it underneath the opening! Super easy and this can easily be swaped out for a boy card too!
The sweet sentiment comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set! I stamped it in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink and centered it using my Stamp-a-ma-Jig for perfect placement!

CTD68 - Color Challenge: Thank You Card!

The Color Throwdown blog posted this awesome color challenge using the Stampin' Up! colors: Real Red, Only Orange, Crushed Curry, and a dark neutral color. For my card, I chose to use Basic Black as my dark neutral and follow the layout of a great sketch! Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator definitely has amazing benefits! One of which is receiving the monthly Stampin' Success magazine in my mailbox, filled with ideas, information, new techniques, and of course great sketches! I used the one, featured below which was found on page 30 of the November 2009 issue! At first glance, I thought the layout was a little busy - but with the bright colors from the color challenge, I thought they would work well together! What do you think? I always love reading your comments and feedback - so please leave a message if you want!!
I moved things around a little bit from the sketch, but overall, I tried to stick with where things were on the original card layout! The most fun I had was using the Very Thankful stamp set (page 209)! Stampin' Up! designs an exclusive stamp set every year to help raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). When you purchase the Very Thankful set, (it's only $14.95 - and totally cute) Stampin' Up! will donate $2 to the RMHC! I love making a difference and purchasing this stamp set, was a fun way to do that! Plus, the bird and font of the sentiment on this stamp are so elegant - I love it! I stamped the little birdie with Real Red ink on Whisper White card stock, then punched it out using a 1-3/4" Circle Punch! Layered it on a Basic Black scallop Circle cut from the Scallop Circles #2 die for my Big Shot machine, and viola!

Time to Celebrate!

It's time to CELEBRATE! One of my favorite color combinations is Crushed Curry and Basic Gray! How fun is that!?! Designer series paper always makes for a really great background for any card, but do you recognize where this paper is featured? On the cover of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog!! The paper pack is called Razzleberry Lemonade (pg. 162). Stampin' Write Markers make adding a bit of color to any stamped image a total breeze! This year, Stampin' Up! introduced the Stampin' Write Markers in the NEW InColors (pg. 155)! I used the Crushed Curry Marker to add a hint of color to this very versatile stamp from the Chic Boutique set (pg. 63). This card would work wonderfully to send for a birthday, wedding, bridal shower, bachelorette party, or engagement event!

Stamps: Chic Boutique (113744)
Ink: Basic Gray (109120)* this ink is waterproof and doesn't smudge when markers are used to add color to certain parts!
Cardstock: Basic Gray (108692), Basic Black (102851), Whisper White (100730)
Paper: Razzleberry Lemonade (115675)
Rub-Ons: Chit Chat (111804)
Ribbon: Basic Gray 3/8" Taffeta (109064)
Accessories: Filigree Brads (112577), Clear Rhinestone Brads (113144)
Tools: Big Shot (113439), Lots of Tags Sizzlit 4-Pack dies (114508)
Finished Size: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"

MOJO108 ~ Friends Forever Card

It's MOJO Monday! I was inspired by the MOJO Monday sketch to create this card! The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! Chit Chat rub-ons (pg. 177) - so I didn't use any stamps or ink on this card!!! How fun! The Chit Chat rub-ons are a great deal! For $10.95 you get over 180 sentiments in Whisper White and Chocolate Chip! I used the Whisper White 'Friends Forever' on this card!

Cardstock: Whisper White (100730), Rich Razzleberry (115316)
Paper: Razzleberry Lemonade (115675)
Rub-Ons: Chit Chat (111804)
Ribbon: Rich Razzleberry 1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain (115613)
Brads: Silver brads (104336)
Punch: Trio Flower (109183), Scallop Oval (114889)
