PPA15 ~ Christmas Cheer Party Dress Card

The Pals Paper Arts posted a great color challenge this week: Basic Gray, Taken with Teal, and Ruby Red! I immediately thought of the Holiday Lounge DSP (pg. 162) and wanted to create a fun, dressy Christmas party card! Here's my edition of these wonderful colors! I really like how the Taken with Teal card stock looks after it's embossed with the Petals-a-Plenty Textured Impressions Folder (Holiday Mini Catalog). Teal Poinsettias - how fun!!

To make the 'dress', I started out by cutting a piece of DSP to 5" square and using the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine and the Scallop Circle die (pg. 199), I ended up with this fun circle (pictured below) after it was cut out.

Then I cut away a little waistline for the dress (see picture below), and tied a piece of Basic Gray Taffeta ribbon (pg. 183) in a knot, then around the waist for an elegant look!
