Daisy Flower Tutorial using Scallop Circles #2 Die

Happy Memorial Day weekend to you! Since it's cold and rainy in Oregon today, it's the perfect weather to stay inside and stamp!!! My card today is based upon the Clean & Simple Stamping card sketch. The layout had the sentiment at the bottom, but I switched it up and added a sentiment tab using the Stampin' Up! Round Tab Punch. The colors of my card are based upon the color challenge at the Stampin' Royalty blog to use: Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery, and Pretty in Pink! I think The striped DSP from the Cottage Wall papers looks like they have pink in them! Don't you!?!

I'm super excited to share with you a brief Daisy Flower Tutorial using the Scallop Circles #2 die and the Big Shot Die-Cut machine! Here's how you make it:

1) Start by Die-Cutting {3} Whisper White Scallop Circles. TIP: I ran all {3} sheets of Whisper White card stock through my Big Shot at once.

2) Using your Paper Snips, trim each scallop towards the center - being careful not to cut all the way through the center.

3) Taking your 5-Petal Flower Punch, punch two flowers out of Certainly Celery card stock for the 'petals'. Then layer the three scallop circles on top of each other. TIP: You can also fan these out, but I like the look of them stacked right on top of each other better!

4) Using the 1-3/4" Circle punch, punch out a circle from Rich Razzleberry card stock. Then also using the 1-1/4" Circle punch, punch out a 1-1/4" Circle from the Cottage Wall DSP. Thread linen through a Whisper White button from the Button Latte package of buttons.

5) Assemble together placing the petals overlapping each other and tucked behind the daisy.

6) Decorate your envelope by adding coordinating DSP to the flap! Since my card is 4-1/4" square, it still fits inside the Standard A2 Envelope!
