Featured Stamper: My Downline Melissa

My friend and downline, Melissa Mattox, a Senior Associate from Vancouver, WA made this cute card for a swap we had at a BZB demonstrator meeting! I love the color combination of: Summer Sun, Whisper White, Old Olive, and Basic Gray! The assortment of circles in the Circle Circus set makes for stamping the center very stylish and sophisticated!
Of course I'd love to have YOU join my Stampin' Essentials team! Stampin' Up! is the best company to work with and take amazing care of their demonstrators! I've been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator since February of 2004. I signed up during Sale-a-Bration of course to earn more FREE stamps! I initially just wanted a discount on everything in the catalog, but now I love having a business opportunity with great benefits! Including free stamps, but along the way I've made wonderful friends including members of my downline, upline, sidelines, customers and fellowing stampers on and offline! I'm so excited about the new Clear Mount stamps that will be available January 5, 2010. It's just one of the many ways Stampin' Up! listens and responds to the needs of their demonstrators and customers! I'd love to share my love of stamping with you either in a home workshop, class or having you a part of my growing downline! For more information on becoming a SU demo, please click here! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Merry Christmas! The big day is here and I'm celebrating up at my parent's house in Anacortes, WA. The presents are opened and the rice pudding is almost gone and we're just listening to Christmas music and calling the family in Alaska and California! My sister is on her way and should be here any minute - so I thought I had time to post a cute thank you card! I love sending Thank You notes after the holidays! There is so much to be thankful for and so many people to thank! So here's a sweet little card to help you get started on your notes! The color combination of Tempting Turquoise and Real Red is quite rich and pretty! Seems that red looks great with almost any color! The Circle Circus stamp set on page 129 is the star of the show! Simple Card ~ Birthday Celebrations

I needed a quick birthday card for a friend and thought this was a great, simple layout! I started with Bermuda Bay textured cardstock, stamped circles from the Circle Circus set (pg. 129) randomly throughout the center of the card. I like to 'stamp off' the page so that the images look like they are flowing on and off the page! Then I cut out the large Certainly Celery flower with my Big Shot and layered a chipboard circle, and Rich Razzleberry circle in the center of the flower - then adhered it all to the card! The trick to getting the Rhinestone brad through the center of flower (yes, I added the brad last) was the Paper-Piercing tool! It went through, yes (4) sheets of cardstock AND a piece of chipboard! Pretty amazing! Then I wrapped a piece of Whisper White Grosgrain ribbon around the bottom edge (for some color) and adhered it with a Silver Brad. The stamping on the card was all done with Bermuda Bay ink for a tone-on-tone look. You can also achieve this look with the VersaMark Pad (pg. 190) if you're wanting your ink color to match your cardstock color!
