Best of 25 Years - Celebrate the Stampin' Up! Anniversary

Some things to remember:

Stampin' Royalty Sketch Challenge #39

Good Morning! I have some exciting news to share! I've been asked to join the Stampin' Royalty Design Team!!! What an honor! I've been playing along with the challenges from this fabulous group of Canadian Stampin' Up! Demonstrators for awhile and now I get to join their team!
This week we're hosting a sketch challenge (which is actually my favorite type of challenge) so I gladly got my stamps out and here's what I created:

Stampin' Essentials Tips:

• So I don't have and oval die or cutter to go along with the sketch, so I had to improvise! I simply cut and layered cardstock into a rectangle and rounded one corner to help frame in my Hydrangea image from the Level 1 Hostess set, Because I Care!
• Hopefully you can tell from the close up picture below, but to add some dimension to the Hydrangea, I stamped the image a second time, and trimmed out a few small clusters of flowers and adhered them to my first image using Stampin' Dimensionals! You can also use a small flower punch too - since the flowers don't need to be perfect! They blend in really well with the larger image once layered together!
• My color scheme was inspired by the Stampin' Up! Greenhouse Gala DSP papers! I chose to use Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobler, Old Olive, Whisper White and Early Espresso! The Stampin' Up! DSP packs are instant color inspiration if you're ever in a jam!

Welcome to another beautiful color challenge at the Colour Q! I LOVE this weeks combination of Ruby Red (Retiring), Cameo Coral (Retiring), Apricot Appeal (Retiring), Always Artichoke, and Very Vanilla!

My card today was based upon the card sketch challenge at Taylored Expressions! This layout was perfect for showcasing a SNEAK PEEK to the new Stampin' Up! Because I Care Level 1 Hostess Stamp Set that will be in the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog! Hostesses will now have the option to receive their FREE stamp sets in either Clear Mount {C} or Wood Mount {W}!!! Level 1 Hostess Stamp Sets are awarded to Hostesses or Customers with a $150 workshop order and/or personal order!

Stampin' Essentials Tips:

• I used the Rock N Roll Stamping Technique for the the petals of my flower! I first stamped the blossoms in Cameo Coral (Retiring) ink, then Rock N Rolled the image in Ruby Red (Retiring) ink! So my flower is lighter in the center and darker on the edges!
• The Because I Care sentiment fits perfectly in the Curly Label punch! I first stamped the sentiment in Always Artichoke ink on Very Vanilla card stock, then punched it out with the Curly Label punch! Using a sponge dauber, I inked the edges with Always Artichoke ink!
• Have you seen the beautiful products in the 2010 Summer Mini Catalog!?! My textured background is from the NEW Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder found on page 24 of the Mini Catalog! This beauty sells for $7.95 and WILL be in the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog so you can continue to order this product!!!

Scallop Envelope Box and Sneak Peek

I LOVE inspirational photo challenges! Stampin' Royalty posted a wonderful challenge this week of one of my favorite Stampin' Up! photos! The color scheme I used for this challenge were: Old Olive, Rose Red, and Pumpkin Pie! Want a Sneak Peek to the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog!?! Today I'm using a Level 1 Hostess set, Because I Care stamp set that Stampin' Up! gave to demonstrators when we placed a Pre-Order during June! What a fun gift huh!?! So I created this little note card box filled with {8} cards that fit inside this box! Die-Cut {4} Old Olive Scallop Envelopes with the Big Shot and adhere together with Sticky Strip! I'll do a tutorial on this a little later on! Here's what I created!
