My card today is based upon the incredible color challenge at Stacey's Curtain Call! These colors include: Summer Sun, (Retiring), Apricot Appeal (Retiring), Rose Red, Regal Rose, and Whisper White! I was also inspired by the super cute square card sketch challenge at Inkspirations!
Stampin' Essentials Tips:
- I made my card size 4-1/4" Square so that it can still fit inside a standard A2 envelope! Since I had some extra room to play with on the length - I put my butterfly a little 'off' the page! Looks like it's taking flight, uh!?! Just something different! =)
- The Razzleberry Lemonade DSP is retiring this June! Check back to my Stampin' Essentials blog for all the details on what will be retiring! I used the Crushed Curry floral patterned paper for my background! It looks so much like Summer Sun to me! This is actually my favorite patterned paper from that pack!
- My layered butterfly was cut from several different colors of card stock using the Beautiful Wings die! You can get {6} butterflies from this one die! All the edges were inked with their cooresponding ink using Sponge Daubers for a subtle inked look!
