Keep It Simple, Sweetie! For You Card

It's Friday! Hope you had a wonderful week! Mine was busy for sure and I'm very tired this evening! But it's all good because the PPA had a KISS (Keep It Simple, Sweetie) challenge this week, which worked out perfectly for me since I'm totally wiped out! What does KISS mean for me? Well, for me it means TONS of white space and NO embellishments! Someone sent me a sweet message inviting me to play along with a color challenge so I joined in on the fun and used the PPC colors of: Garden Green, Brilliant Blue, Bashful Blue, and Whisper White!
My card layout is based upon the sketch challenge at the Stampin' Royalty blog! The Top Note Die (113463) was key to this layout! After I cut mine out, I ran it through my Big Shot again with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder for some texture!

Don't you love the Two-Step Bird Punch in the Occasions Mini Catalog!?! I have great news for you! It will still be available for purchase after April 30th and will most likely be featured in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog! Someone left me a nice note telling me much they love this punch and I totally agree! It's by far the most versatile, cute, and easy to use punch Stampin' Up! has ever offered! It's a must I have for any paper crafter, I think!

Stamps: Great Friend (113792)
Ink: Garden Green (102272)
Card Stock: Garden Green (102584), Brilliant Blue (100721), Whisper White (100730)

Finished Size: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

  4. So cute, Kari! I love the embossing on the Top Note! I think that this is one embossing folder that does not get used a lot, and you have showcased it perfectly! Great job with the sketch, too! Thanks for playing @ PPA!

  7. Beautiful card, I love the KISS style you've incorporated here. Like you, I love big white space. It gives the focal point more impact. The patterned wing perfectly complements the plain cardstock of the bird silhouette too. Px
