CQC #39 - We Make a Life by what We GIVE

Hello Tuesday! It's another incredible colour challenge for you at the Colour Q! We celebrating the 4th of July this week with a color combination of Bravo Burgundy, Real Red, Night of Navy, Brocade Blue (Retiring), and Whisper White! I have to admit, I REALLY like the red, white, and blue together! Sadly, I don't have any Patriotic stamps or 4th of July stamps - so I improvised! My card this week is based upon the sketch challenge at Taylored Expressions! I was so excited yesterday when I saw that my card had made Top Crops for TESC #117! Click here to check it out!

Stampin' Essentials Tips:
  • The Watercolor Trio stamp set I used on this set is from the Summer Mini Catalog! I really love the look of this set! It's SO pretty! I stamped a few of the flower blossoms in Brocade Blue ink on Whisper White card stock, then trimmed them out with my Paper Snips! The edges were inked with Sponge Daubers and Night of Navy then adhered to my card with Stampin' Dimensionals!
  • This incredible sentiment stamp, which is the star of today's card, is from the NEW Occasional Quotes Hostess Level 3 Stamp Set that will be in the SU 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog! It comes in a set of 12 stamps and is the perfect set for EVERY Occasion! Hostesses can earn Level 3 sets for FREE with a $500+ workshop and/or catalog order!
  • The Real Red 3/4" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon is on the Last Chance Accessories List! It's on sale for $4.48 - and that is 50% off!
