My First Ever Design Team!! COLOUR Q!

I've been doing the Happy Dance for DAYS now after Arielle of Colour Q asked me to be a member of her Design Team (DT)! I'm so exciting to be a part of this talented team! 4 Days Left of Sale-A-Bration 2010!!!

Happy Saturday to you! Only {4} days left in Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration promotion! I have another card to showcase today starring one of my favorite SAB sets, Happy Moments! The line art images in this set are perfect for coloring in with SU markers and/or blender pens - which is just too much fun! Plus the sentiments that come along with it are perfect for so many different occasions! Versatility in stamp sets is a HUGE bonus! My colors were inspired by the super cute challenge at the Color Dare blog! We were to use: Pretty in Pink, Green Galore and Basic Black! Of course I had to throw in Whisper White as well! ;)

My card layout was inspired by the sketch challenge at Our Creative Corner! I love the scallop edge and to achieve this on my card, I used the Stampin' Up! Extra Large Fancy Flower punch on page 10-11 of the Occasions Mini Catalog! I punched out two flowers. Then cut the 'petals' in sets of two and pieced them together in a row! Lining them up on my SU Grid Paper was a HUGE help and highly recommended! Pretty cool huh!?!

Happy Birthday SAB Style!

Hello Friends! I have another card to share with you today! The card layout is from the Mojo Monday blog and I just loved playing along with this challenge! The scalloped edges on the top and bottom of the card, remind me of a store front awning or something!! I also posted my card on the Our Creative Corner blog since they were having a Something Old is New challenge! The DSP I used and colors are retired (old) so I brought them out and made a new card!

Another SAB sample!

I loved incorporating my new Circle Scissor plus into another fun Sweet Sunday Sketch! I love the simplicity of this layout and I used some bright, fun colors from the Colour Q challenge!

Stampin' Essentials Tips:

• To color in the flowers from the Happy Moments stamp set, I first stamped it in Jet Black StazOn ink and using blender pens, I colored in the individual flowes!
• I used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig to get perfect placement of my 'thank you' sentiment!
• I cut three different sized circles with my Circle Scissor Plus! My tip is to use repositionable tape on all the corners of the card stock so that the paper stays in place when cutting!
• My So Saffron card stock received a fun scallop border with my FREE Sale-A-Bration Scallop Trim Border punch! Lining this up, to stamp long pieces of card stock is a cinch! These new punch layouts are awesome and are SO easy to use!!!
• I love all the DSP papers!!! The floral pattern that Iused on this card is my favorite print of the set! Click here to see all the double-sided 12x12 papers that come in the Melon Mambo pack! These papers are available in 14 SU colors!

Happy Moments! New SAB set!

The Color Throwdown blog did it again - another BEAUTIFUL color challenge! Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery two of my favorite SU colors, paired with Elegant Eggplant - it's just too much fun!

I wanted to share with you my Happy Birthday card that I made for the CTD color challenge and the Stampin' Royalty sketch challenge! I stamped my little bird cage from the Happy Moments SAB stamp set in Elegant Eggplant ink - then colored in the frame of the cage with Certainly Celery Ink and blender pens! I changed around a few things on the sketch - I tied my ribbon at the top instead! I wanted to keep this card simple since I honestly think the colors are just so pretty together as is!

It's so sad Baja Breeze retired last year! Anytime there are color challenges that use this wonderful shade of blue - I'm so thrilled to get my old supplies out and play along! The patterned paper I used is also retired, it's the Urban Garden DSP! But some fun news is that I did get try the new SU punch format (click here for more information) and the new Scallop Trim Border Punch, which you can get for FREE with a $50 order! The new punches are so great and easy to store! This is great for all of you that love organization!
