Colour Q #56 with Stampin' Up! Owl Punch (118074)

Happy Tuesday! We have another festive color challenge for you at the Colour Q! This week the challenge uses the Stampin' Up! colors Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery, Garden Green, and Whiser White! Here's what I came up with based upon this week's challenge and inspiration photo:

Stampin' Essentials Tips:

I know, I know! I can't get enough of the Owl Punch! It's just too much fun! Don't you love how I gave him a Purple Heart (or rather a Rich Razzleberry Heart!?!). With the Two-Step Owl Punch you can create any color combination you want with any of the different pieces on the owl! So fun!
I think I would have liked this card MUCH better if I had the Pumpkin Pie 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, but I don't have it so I improvised and used Basic Black instead! It's so hard for me not to buy EVERYTHING I want in the SU catalog!
That gorgeous floral patterned paper is from the Greenhouse Gala DSP pack! It's actually Pear Pizzazz and I think it's SO pretty! Pear Pizzazz is just a little bit darker than Certainly Celery - so I ended up swaping those out for my card and using the Pear Pizzazz instead!

The 'Thinking of You' sentiment is from the Trendy Trees stamp set and stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink on a Whisper White tag!

Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #25

Welcome to a 'spooky' edition of the Stampin' Celebration challenge! I hope you have time to join us and upload your creation to our team blog! We love having you all play along with us!

The inside of the card:

Here's how I made this card:

1) Cut card base to 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" out of Basic Black cardstock, score, and fold in half.
2) Cut a 2-1/8" piece from the front of the card so it leaves just a left pane and cover with Designer Series Paper (I used Razzleberry Lemonade (Retired) then add Elegant Eggplant ribbon

3) Cut inside layer of Lovely Lilac cardstock to 4" x 5-1/4" then adhere the Green Galore Latch piece (5-1/2" x 1-1/2") behind it before adhering to the Black card base

4) Using the 3-16" Corner Rounder punch, I rounded the edges of the Green Galore Latch

5) Using the Word Window punch, punch opening for the latch to glide into (about a 1/2" in)
6) With the Big Shot, I cut out a die-cut tag in Basic Black cardstock for the sentiment, stamped 'Trick or Treat, Scary & Sweet!' in Lovely Lilac ink on Whisper White cardstock, then punched out with the 1-1/4" Square punch, adhered to the black tag and added the Library Clip to the top!
7) My 'tree' is from the Birds & Branches die. The 'grass' is a strip of Green Galore cardstock, cut with the Scallop Edge punch, then I cut triangles out of each scallop to look like blades of grass. Then I used the Billboard Alphabet die to get the 'boo' sentiment!

8) Stamped sentiments from the 'Grateful Greetings' set in Basic Black ink on both sides of the latch then added a touch of orange with the Flower brad in the corner! Spooky huh!?! =)

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #42 Ribbon, RIBBON!!

Welcome to another Stampin' Royalty challenge! Thanks everyone that joined us last week! We had well over a hundred entries!!! This week is a fun one, it's a recipe challenge to use ribbon, Ribbon, RIBBON! Here's what I came up with this week using 3 different types of ribbon/threads.

Colour Q #55 and Breast Cancer Awareness Card

Happy Tuesday! We have two color challenges for you this week at the Colour Q! Feel free to play along with one or the other or both! One of the challenges is a fun Fall / Halloween themed color challenge of Basic Black, River Rock, Poppy Parade, Vanilla and Tangerine Tango.
The other challenge is one in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month and features Basic Black, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette, and Whisper White! I chose to use this color pallete for my card this week!

Here's what I came up with!

The ribbon is tied with Pretty in Pink 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon and anchored with Pretty in Pink brads.

The sentiment is from the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set

Happy Wednesday to you! We have a color challenge for you this week at the Stampin' Royalty! Feel free to play along with us this week and use the following Stampin' Up! colors, Chocolate Chip, Concord Crush, Tempting Turquoise, and So Saffron! Here's what I came up with:

My card layout is based upon this week's Clean and Simple Stamping sketch! This layout is perfect since it's so simple and doesn't contain a lot of elements! The main center panel can be anything you want! A large stamped image, pretty designer series paper, or make your own background with stamps! I chose a Tempting Turquoise polka dot patterned piece of DSP that retired from the Island Oasis DSP pack in the Summer Mini Catalog! Sometimes my older Stampin' Up! supplies are just perfect for the project I'm working on! The 'Praying for you' sentiment is from the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set and is stamped in Concord Crush Ink.

Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #22

Good Morning! Hope you are having a great week so far! We have another fun challenge for you at Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge and I hope you'll have time this week to play along! I searched through my stash of stamp sets and I didn't have any bee stamps, so I improvised and went with a butterfly and coordinated my color scheme to that of the challenge! I used Early Espresso, Whisper White, Perfect Plum, and Peach Parfait! Here's what I came up with:

Stampin' Essentials Tips:

To achieve a honeycomb look, I used a patterned piece of DSP from the Elegant Soiree paper pack! It's a pretty color combination of Early Espresso and Soft Suede!
My butterfly is sitting on top of an Early Espresso punched Scallop Circle piece stamped with the circle pattern from the Apple Blossoms Hostess Level 2 Stamp Set. Then I pierced a hole in each scallop with the Paper-Piercing Tool! All of course adhered together with Stampin' Dimensionals for a 3D look!
The piece of Perfect Plum card stock with texture was run through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Texture Folder! The top is tied with some 3/8" Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon in a bow!

Stampin' Royalty Sketch Challenge #39

Good Morning! I have some exciting news to share! I've been asked to join the Stampin' Royalty Design Team!!! What an honor! I've been playing along with the challenges from this fabulous group of Canadian Stampin' Up! Demonstrators for awhile and now I get to join their team!
This week we're hosting a sketch challenge (which is actually my favorite type of challenge) so I gladly got my stamps out and here's what I created:

Stampin' Essentials Tips:

So I don't have and oval die or cutter to go along with the sketch, so I had to improvise! I simply cut and layered cardstock into a rectangle and rounded one corner to help frame in my Hydrangea image from the Level 1 Hostess set, Because I Care!
Hopefully you can tell from the close up picture below, but to add some dimension to the Hydrangea, I stamped the image a second time, and trimmed out a few small clusters of flowers and adhered them to my first image using Stampin' Dimensionals! You can also use a small flower punch too - since the flowers don't need to be perfect! They blend in really well with the larger image once layered together!
My color scheme was inspired by the Stampin' Up! Greenhouse Gala DSP papers! I chose to use Baja Breeze, Chery Cobler, Old Olive, Whisper White and Early Espresso! The Stampin' Up! DSP packs are instant color inspiration if you're ever in a jam!

Colour Q #52 with Stampin' Up! Owl Punch (118074)

Happy Tuesday!!! We have an exciting twist to the Colour Q challenge this week! But first, Congratulations to our fabulous host Arielle!!! We've reach 52 challenges and celebrating 1 year of the Colour Q! I just love this weekly color challenge and I'm so honored to be part of the Design Team! I hope you'll have time this week to join us and play along with the challenge this week and use the sketch + your favorite past Colour Q combo! Here's what I came up with!

I chose to use a recent color combination of some of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors, which includes Soft Suede, Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Marina Mist, and Whisper White! These colors go along perfectly with the NEW Stampin' Up! Elegant Soiree DSP. I punched out some of Mr. Owl's eyes in the swirl patterned paper and used it since I thought it made him look kinda sick - and since this is a Get Well Card....I hope it works together! LOL! I pretty much always use the Woodgrain Background stamp with the Two-Step Owl Punch - they just go so perfectly together! I stamped the Soft Suede square piece of cardstock and double layered it with another piece of Soft Suede cardstock. Then layered the scallop circle on top with Stampin' Dimensionals!

Hey Friends! It's Thursday again! WOW these weeks just fly by! We have another fun challenge for you at the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge! I hope you'll join us! I chose to use the Stampin' Up! Artistic Etchings Stamp Set with a black and pink theme! Here's what I came up with!

One of my favorite ways to add texture to my projects is the NEW Stampin' Up! Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder (120175) on page 214 of the Idea Book & Catalog! It's so elegant an pretty! Hint: Use this in your Big Shot on Tab 1
Isn't the Artistic Etchings stamp set too cool!?! It's one of my favorites in the Catalog! I first stamped the Eifel Tower in Basic Gray ink. Then I stamped the crown in Pink Pirouette ink and trimmed it out with my Paper Snips! Oh yes, I cut out the crown! The jewel in the center of the crown is from the Basic Rhinestone Jewels on page 188. These beauties are self-adhesive and totally perfect! They come in three different sizes so they'll work for any project.
The 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon is awesome! It's my 'go to' ribbon! I use it ALL the time! It comes in 13 colors and I used Basic Black on my card today! For $5.95 a spool - it's a great deal and you get 10 yards per spool!

Colour Q #50 with Stampin' Up! Owl Punch (118074)

Good Morning! Happy Tuesday to you! We have another fun color combination for you at the Colour Q! This week is one of my favorites because it contains Pear Pizzazz and Early Espresso, as well as Cherry Cobbler, Peach Parfait and Whisper White! These are all some of my very favorite Stampin' Up! colors! Fall is here! hehe! Had to use the Owl Punch - AGAIN! I just love it!

My card layout is based upon the sketch challenge at Taylored Expressions! I didn't added a sentiment to the outside of the card and the inside is blank - I'll probably stamp a greeting later on! Sometimes it's nice to have a card on hand ready for any occasion! The Pear Pizzazz DSP used on the background on my card is from the Greenhouse Gala DSP pack! Love these papers! I use them ALL the time! Probably should get another pack of it!!
The ribbon I tied in a knot and wrapped it around the Early Espresso card stock. I stamped the Woodgrain Background stamp on the Early Espresso card stock - so it looks like my owl is sitting on a tree branch! {smile!} I just love this punch! I should buy like three of them!

Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #19

Happy Thursday to you! We have another beautiful challenge for you at the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge! This one reminded me of summer weddings, so I made a few 'Thanks so much' cards in bulk! These could be a great idea for the bride-to-be for the wedding party or for after shower thank you notes! Quick and easy!

Stampin' Essentials Tips:

The longest part about creating these cards was stamping the daisy! Since this is a single stamp from the Watercolor Trio set, I used a technique called 'Masking'.

Here's how you do it!

1) I taped over the daisy flowers with the thicker painters tape, then inked up the stamp in Old Olive ink!

2) Remove the tape over the daisies and color the flowers in with yellow ink using markers and/or blender pens
3) Huff (blow) on the stamp to remoisten the ink, then stamp on the image on card stock!

The Paper-Piercing Tool was used to create the hole pattern

Happy Friday to you! Hope you had a wonderful week! I'm in love with the NEW Stampin' Up! Owl Punch, so I hope you don't mind if I post a lot of projects with him on my blog over the next few weeks! I love this Designer Series Paper that my friend Susan gave me, so I've been using it a lot on projects as well! It just reminds me of elementary school so much!!! Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #18

Good Morning! Welcome to another edition of the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge! These inspiration photos make me so homesick since my parents live on the ocean and frequently take the boat out to go crabbing! My mom said the freezer is full of crab so I can't wait to get up there and have some crab salads!!! They live about 5 hours away from me so I'm super excited to be able to head home soon for a visit! Here's what I came up with this week for the SCIC Desgin Team:

My card layout was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! I moved the flowers on my card to more of the top left corner and made the center circle using the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch (118874)! Then I layered the Scallop Circle with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch (119850) and also created a 2" circle with the Circle Scissor Plus (112530).

I did use some retired stamp sets on my card! The crab is from the 'It's the Thought' Level 1 Hostess Stamp Set from the Summer Mini Catalog! It was too perfect for this challenge so I had to use it! The flowers were from the Tropical Party Stamp Set, which was also from the Summer Mini Catalog! They were both two of my favorites from the Mini Catalog! I first stamped the crab in Jet Black StazOn Ink, then colored him in with Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink and Blender Pens! The flowers I stamped in Daffodil Delight and Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink, then trimmed them out with the Paper Snips Scissors - a must have!!!

Then trimmed out just the 'THANKS' with my Paper Snips (103579) and layered it on top of the Early Espresso die-cut!

Colour Q #47 with Stampin' Up! Birthday Bliss Set

Happy Tuesday to you! It's another edition of the Colour Q challenge featuring an awesome color combination of More Mustard, Poppy Parade, Bermuda Bay (Retired), Basic Gray, and Whisper White. I swaped out Tempting Turquoise for Bermuda Bay since I wanted to make sure you were able to order current Stampin' Up! product if you wanted to order the supplies I used to make this card! Here's what I came up:

My card layout is based upon the sketch challenge at Taylored Expressions. I love the big circles and used the Stampin' Up! Circle Scissor Plus (112530) to create them. I think my largest one is 2-1/4" in diameter, then the layers are approximatley 1/8" smaller on each circle. The groovy flowers are from the Blossom Party Bigz die (115971). I off-centered them to keep the party alive!! HAHA - oh how I love Family Force 5! The Turquoise polka dot designer series paper I used on this card is from the Island Oasis DSP (117173) in the Summer Mini! There's only one week left to place your orders from this mini!

Stampin' Up! Punch Caddies Not Available

As you know, the Punch Caddies are listed in the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog (pg. 200) as “Coming Soon.” Stampin' Up! is disappointed to report, however, that due to serious production and quality issues with the manufacturer, SU will not be able to offer the Punch Caddies at all (sad day). And because the manufacturer will likely not be able to meet the quality standards for the Punch Caddy in the future, Stampin' Up! does not have any plans to offer a revised or equivalent product in its place.

I am super bummed that SU cannot offer the Punch Caddies for sale!!! But because of Stampin' Up!'s ongoing commitment to providing their customers and demonstrators with the highest quality products, SU simply cannot allow this product to go live. I love owls! They are all the rave right now in the paper crafting world and the Stampin' Up! It's the Thought Level 1 Hostess Set on page 4 of the Summer Mini Catalog is so cute! The sentiment I thought was perfect for back to school themed projects since his little glasses remind me of a professor and the sentiment '...a little wiser' are perfect for back to school and learning!

CQC #46 Hello Baby Card with Fox and Friends

Happy Tuesday to you! Thanks for joining me today! I just love the color combination this week at the Colour Q! It features several of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors: Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla! Isn't that little dress in the photo just adorable!?! With these colors, I inspired to make a little baby card! Here's what I came up with!

Stampin' Essentials Tips:

My card layout is based upon this weeks Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge! This was such a great layout since it features three panels and circles - which worked perfectly for my baby card and the different animals!
The stamped images are from the Fox & Friends Stamp Set on page 96 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. This set features 7 adorable animals, and I chose to use the monkey (Cherry Cobbler), lion (Daffodil Delight), and turtle (Wild Wasabi).
The scallop circles layered behind the stamped images isn't one of our Scallop Circle punches, it's actually from the Scallop Circles #2 die (113469) - the smaller of the two Scallop Circles. I chose to use the die-cut Scallop Circle since it was just the perfect size to layer with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch (119850), since I just wanted the scallops to show behind the circle. Plus it fit perfectly with this card size - 3-1/4" x 6-1/2", scored at the top! Here's some additional pictures:

If you've been a blog reader or a follower you know that I'm a Stampin' Up! only girl and think their products are the best! I've recently posted about when Stampin' Up! products are highlighted in crafting magazines, such as Creating Keepsakes and Paper Crafts! Today I wanted to share with you another SU product featured in the September 2010 issue of Creating Keepsakes!
On page 24 of the magazine, they did a quick article on how to write and stamp on fabric using Stampin' Up! markers! The SU markers are perfect for techniques like this since they are Dual-Tipped and come in all the SU colors! CLICK HERE to place an order for Stampin' Up! On-Line!

You can order Stampin' Up! markers in a variety of ways! One is the Many Marvelous Markers set of 38 markers for $109.95 (item # 119806). This entire little carrying case includes all the Stampin' Up! markers in a horizontal storage case, which keeps the pens inked evenly and all in one place! Yes, this item is on my Wish List for Christmas!!!

Although Blush Blossom retired in June 2010, you can still purchase the Blush Blossom Marker for $3.50 (item # 100037). Since this color is perfect for coloring in flesh/skin tones, Stampin' Up! kept it in the products mix! You can also purchase any of the Stampin' Up! markers individually, as well if you just want a few! It's a great way to start your collection, although it is cheaper to purchase them in the Color Families for $28.95 each, which includes all 10 colors per collection. This way the markers are $2.89 each versus $3.50 individually!

Another great product I love is the Marker New Color Kit, which includes 13 markers in the new colors for $35.95 (item # 120948). This is a great way to update your marker collection with just the new colors that you need! Happy Thursday to you! We have another fun Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge for you this week! This challenge really reminded me of the first few weeks of school so I focused on a few of my favorite Primary Colors - Red, Green, and Blue! I hope you'll come out and join us this week and play along!
My friend Susan gave me some super cute DSP that was just perfect for this challenge so I used it this week (it's not SU paper - but I love it)! Here's what I came up with:

To dress up my Whisper White background, I added a second layer of Whisper White Card Stock and ran the smaller layer through my Big Shot (113439) with the Lattice Square Embossing Folder (119976)! I've always measured and cut my layers to the 1/4" - but now I'm really into the 1/8" size since I can add several other sheets of card stock to my card! The double layering of the same color is kinda new to me too - but I like it, kinda elegant!
My sentiment comes from the super versatile, Occasional Quotes Level 3 Stamp Set. This set has a quote or sentiment for every occasion and I just loved the font of the 'Congratulations'. You can earn this set for FREE when you host a workshop and/or catalog order with $500 or more in sales!!!

Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #14

Happy Thursday to you! I hope you are having an awesome week! We have another super cute Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge for you! Isn't this dessert buffet so cute! I love all those glass containers with candies and snacks! I hope you'll join us this week! Here's what I came up with! I focused on the blue, brown, and white color combination and made this a birthday card!

I love the Owl Punch (item # 118074) on page 200 of the IBC. It's so versatile and just CUTE! Pairing this punch with the Woodgrain Background stamp (item # 117100) on page 142 of the IBC makes for the perfect setting and they coordinate great together!!!
One of my favorite new packs of paper in the IBC is the Elegant Soiree (item # 117163) on page 175. It features a beautiful color combination of Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Basic Gray! I threw in a little Marina Mist and Night of Navy on my card too!
Have extra scraps laying around from your DSP packs? I decorated the inside of my card with a strip of DSP and my 'Birthday Wishes' sentiment! Layer with several punched out images and you're done! CQC #44 - Vintage Wallpaper Thinking of You

Happy Tuesday! We have another gorgeous color challenge for you at the Colour Q! This week we're challenging you to bust out that new Poppy Parade In Color, as well as, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Basic Black, and Whisper White! Side note - I'm actually really in love with the dress in the inspiration photo! So cute and perfect for summer!

Stampin' Essentials Tips:

I chose to really show off the NEW Poppy Parade color and used it as my back drop for my card! Poppy Parade is featured on page 165 of the NEW IBC and is a 2010 In Color. With the huge color renovation Stampin' Up! did this year the In Colors will now be around for TWO years! This means that the 2010 set of {5} In Colors won't retire until 2012!
The Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder (item # 120175) adds a beautiful texture to my card! This one is probably my favorite of the {8} Folders Stampin' Up! offers on page 214 of the IBC. Each folder measures 4-1/2" x 5-3/4" and is perfectly sized for a standard card front. They sell for $7.95 and are worth the investment!!
Love buttons? Stampin' Up! has renovated their collection of Designer Buttons and they are better than ever! Check them out on page 186 of the IBC. So I just got a few of the Stampin' Up! Smooch Spritz Accent Sprays (page 15 of the Summer Mini Catalog or page 195 in the IBC) and I was looking at the Color Catcher (item # 121093) and wondering if I could make something similar out of a Stampin' Up! box!?!

The Color Catcher (item # 121093) protects your work from ink overspray when using the Smooch Spritz or Color Spritzer Tool (item # 107066)! It's made from corrugated cardboard. Easy to assemble; compact and portable. 1 per package. Dimensions once open are 10" x 10" x 10" and it sells for $5.95!

I have a TON of Stampin' Up! shipment boxes around my house from orders, so I thought I'd try and make my own Color Catcher! I used one of the smaller ones, which measures 12" x 10" x 6" (and are corrugated card board)!!! I basically taped 'open' the flaps, and cut off the top flap completely! Here's what it looks like:

Since the leaf pattern in the Island Oasis DSP kinda had a distressed look to it, I stamped the Pacific Point Scallop Circle with the Woodgrain back ground stamp to add some texture and depth!
Want just a little bow!?! The 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon is my favorite! It's just so cute! I used Daffodil Delight since I needed a little more yellow on my card layout!
Paper Snips are the way to go for cutting out your stamped images! I first stamped the flowers (in the top corner) in Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight ink, then I timmed them out using the Paper Snips! These sharp, little scissors are honestly the best ones I've used! The cut and precision you can achieve with them is awesome!!!

Colour Q Challenge #43 with Peach Parfait

It's Tuesday again! These weeks are flying by and we have another gorgeous color challenge for you at the Colour Q! Thank you to all who joined us for last week's challenge! We love seeing all the fun projects you create! This week Arielle chose a great combination of: Peach Parfait (my favorite 2010 In Color), Bermuda Bay (Retired), Old Olive, Whisper White, and Early Espresso! When I saw the crazy geometric design in the photo, I immediately grabbed the coordinating DSP from the NEW Greenhouse Gala (117167) papers on page 173 of the IBC!

Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #11

Is it Thursday already!?! Is July 1/2 over!?! WOW! Where does the time go!?! Well here we are with another Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge and this is just such a fun one! I chose to focus on the NEW Stampin' Up! colors Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight for my project today! I also used the NEW Hostess Level 1 stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalog called, It's the Thought (120027 - Clear Mount). It's just the cutest set! I really like this one! The image I used today with the little vase and flowers just seemed to be perfect for this week's challenge!

My card layout is based up the sketch challenge at Taylored Expressions! I thought the NEW Stampin' Up! Scallop Rectangle Clearlits die (118872) would be perfect to follow along with this layout!

CQC #41 Watercolor Trio Happy Birthday Card

It's another fun and girly color challenge at the Colour Q! For this challenge of Basic Black, Whisper White, Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink and I swaped out Pink Passion since it's retired - and used Melon Mambo, which is very close! My card layout is based upon the fantastic sketch at Clean & Simple Stamping! I hope you have time this week to join us at the CQC - we'd love to have you stamp with us!

Stampin' Essentials Tips:

New Ribbon! One of my favorite things in the NEW Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog is the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, which comes in {13} colors! I used the Basic Black ribbon and with the white trimmed edges, it doesn't get 'lost' against my Basic Black card base!
My 'Happy Birthday' sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set on page 157 of the IBC. It comes in a set of 24 stamps, with a greeting for every Occasion! What I love the most about this set is that almost every greeting fit perfectly inside the Word Window Punch, which can be layered with the Modern Label Punch as well!
The Watercolor Trio stamp set is one of my favorites from the Summer Mini Catalog! You can get this set in either Wood Mount or Clear Mount and it will only be available for purchase until August 31st!

Mojo Monday Greenhouse Gala Birthday Card

Happy Monday to you! It feels like it's been weeks since I've played along with the Mojo Monday sketch challenge, but today I had time and so I wanted to share what I created based upon the sketch below! My card features many of the new products found in the Stampin' Up! 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog (122202) ! If you'd like to order a copy, please feel free to Email Me and I'll mail one to you! Stampin' Essentials Tips:

The Greenhouse Gala DSP found on page 173 in the IBC is my favorite package of papers in the catalog! It features a beautiful color combination of Pear Pizazz, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Baja Breeze! It also has coordinating stamp sets found in the Graphic Botanical Suite on page 98-99!
The Perfect Punches stamp set on page 131 is the set I used for the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment on my card! I just love this font! All the images in this NEW stamp set coordinate with the Stampin' Up! punches! I chose not to punch out my sentiment with the coordinating Wide Oval Punch, but stamped the image in Early Espresso ink on a Whisper White circle cut with the Circle Scissor Plus!
The Boho Blossoms Punch as a new look! Stampin' Up! updated the entire product line of punches into the new sleek, easy to use format! I'm a huge fan of the new punch design and there are NEW punches too! My favorite is the Two-Step Owl on page 201!

Big Shot Tip for the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die

Here's a great TIP for your Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439)! When you use the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die (118138), be sure to run the die through the Big Shot so that the hinge is opposite the Big Shot handle. This will help protect the hinge. Also, make sure that you an are using Tab 1 when you use the Multipurpose Platform (included with your Big Shot purchase). If you have questions, please let me know! Email me anytime!

Good Morning! I hope you all had a WONDERFUL 4th of July weekend! I sure did and I'm SO thankful for time off to spend with family and enjoying our Independence! This week at the Colour Q, we have a fun and summery color challenge for you of: Melon Mambo, Cameo Coral, Bermuda Bay, Barely Banana, and Whisper White! Hope you have time to join us this week and play along with the Colour Q Royal Court! Here's what I came up with! A birthday Card! I also made this for the Caard Varks challenge this month for Birthday Cards!

Stampin' Essentials Tips:

The Punched Posies Level 2 Stamp Set from the Summer Mini Catalog is one of my FAVORITE Hostess Stamp sets Stampin' Up! has ever offered! I mostly love it SO much because it coordinates with 5 or 6 of the SU punches! I just LOVE products that coordinate! Speaking of punches - did you know that I used {9} punches on this card!?!
Rhinestone brads are SO pretty! They are one of my favorites SU embellishments! The package of Clear Rhinestone Brads come in 3 different sizes for $10.95 and include approximately {84} brads! I used the full brads for the centers of my flowers and butterfly, but to frame in the sentiment - I took off the brad legs and just adhered the Rhinestone with Mini Glue dots! They fit perfectly in the ends of the Modern Label Punch!
Another one of my favorites is sentiment stamp sets - I ALWAYS having those on hand in a variety of fonts, sizes, and greetings! The NEW Stampin' Up! Occasional Quotes Level 3 Hostess Stamp set of 12 is perfect for every possible occaasion! I used the 'Birthday Wishes' sentiment from this set for my card today!
