2 Days Left of Sale-A-Bration 2010!!!

Good Morning! Today's card is another Sale-A-Bration inspiration to get your shopping mojo going! I used my FAVORITE punch for a scallop border on this layout! It's such a delicate and beautiful look, I really like it - it's a little shabby chic too! It's called the Scallop Trim Border (118402) and is FREE for another few days with any $50 Stampin' Up! order! My Happy Birthday sentiment comes from the Vintage Labels stamp set (118392) and is FREE till March 31st with a qualifying SAB order! I stamped the sentiment with Garden Green Classic ink on Whisper White card stock, then punched out with a 1" circle punch and layered on a 1-1/4" piece of Certainly Celery card stock!
My card also used some of my FAVORITE colors from the Color Throwdown challenge to use Baja Breeze (Retired), Garden Green, and Certainly Celery! Greens & Blues are just my favorite color combinations! I'm definitely a 'cool' color girl on the color wheel! ;)

This card sketch from the Sweet Stop is just that - Sweet! I really got excited about the layers and different looks you could get with this layout, but I tried to keep plenty of white space to balance things out and keep it clean & 'simple'! Hahaha!

The Two-Step Bird Punch (117191) is awesome and there is SO much you can do with it! If you've been following my blog for long, you know I adore versatility and this punch is just perfect! Use it with card stock, DSP, emboss the card stock, stamp on the card stock pieces, each piece can be a different color, pattern and texture! It's on page 10-11 of the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog and will be available through April 30th! Purchase it now and it counts towards a SAB freebie item! There's over 80 items to choose from and to start shopping, PLEASE CLICK HERE!

The Welcome Neighbor DSP Pad is just too cute! It includes 72 sheets total: 3 each of 24 Double-Sided designs in the perfect 6"x6" format!
I used the sketch from the Taylored Expressions challenge! For the three squares at the bottom, I used a 1-1/4" Square punch to cut out images from the Welcome Neighbor DSP. I thought the little trees were just too cute! They were also the color inspiration for my card: Kraft, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Chocolate Chip!

4 Days Left of Sale-A-Bration 2010!!!

Happy Saturday to you! Only {4} days left in Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration promotion! I have another card to showcase today starring one of my favorite SAB sets, Happy Moments! The line art images in this set are perfect for coloring in with SU markers and/or blender pens - which is just too much fun! Plus the sentiments that come along with it are perfect for so many different occasions! Versatility in stamp sets is a HUGE bonus! My colors were inspired by the super cute challenge at the Color Dare blog! We were to use: Pretty in Pink, Green Galore and Basic Black! Of course I had to throw in Whisper White as well! ;)
My card layout was inspired by the sketch challenge at Our Creative Corner! I love the scallop edge and to achieve this on my card, I used the Stampin' Up! Extra Large Fancy Flower punch on page 10-11 of the Occasions Mini Catalog! I punched out two flowers. Then cut the 'petals' in sets of two and pieced them together in a row! Lining them up on my SU Grid Paper was a HUGE help and highly recommended! Pretty cool huh!?!

Hello friends! There are 5 shopping days left in the Sale-A-Bration promotion! I'm hoping to showcase some of the great SAB freebie items on my blog over the next few days! Today's card uses the Whimsical Words (118386 - Wood Mount) or (119119 - Clear Mount) stamp set with a sentiment that's perfect for a baby card!
My layout is from this week Mojo Monday sketch and my colors were inspired by the awesome combo of Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White from the Colour Q.

I embossed the Chocolate Chip background with the Perfect Details Texturz Plates (115962). I did add little 'shims' when I ran it through my Big Shot for a deeper impression! For my 'shims' I used a couple of pieces of card board from my Stampin' Up! Catalog boxes!!! ;)

You're on my Mind....TESC Sketch

Good Morning! It's Monday and another week filled with fun times! I'm headed to Seattle later today with our church's High School group for some adventures in the rain!!! Looking forward to walking around Pike's Place Market and seeing the sights! It's my home town, so I always look
forward to visiting!
My card today was based on the Taylored Expressions sketch challenge, pictured above! My schedule has been so crazy tha past few weeks that I really haven't had the time to drive into my crafting, but honestly, the Sweet Pea DSP Stack has been an AWESOME way to quickly make some cute cards! The paper is just adorable as is, but I added some Sweet Pea Stitched Felt on the flowers in the patterned of the DSP! The colors are already picked out for you, which is another super plus and of course, it all coordinates since Stampin' Up! is incredible that way! My sentiment comes from the Upsy Daisy Stamp Set on page 95 of the Idea Book & Catalog! It's one of my favorite sets because it combines the best of both worlds: great, versatile sentiments and wonderful images!!!

Colour Q ~ Happy Easter card

With Easter just a few weeks away and a beautiful color challenge at the Colour Q, I thought I'd make an Easter card this beautiful Sunday afternoon! Don't you just love these colors of Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze, Apricot Appeal, Cameo Coral, and Whisper White!?! They are just so pretty together!
The Clean & Simple Stamping blog also had another great layout! Love the placement of the flowers throughout this card sketch with the the sentiment has the main focal point! Very cool!

The Stampin' Up! Finial Press Embossing folder is my second favorite way to add texture and design to card stock! The Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder is my first favorite! I ran a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Baja Breeze card stock through my Big Shot with the Finial Press folder and layered it on top of my Rich Razzleberry card base!
Stamps: Well Scripted (117072 - Wood Mount) or (118601 - Clear Mount)

Clean and Simple Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone! Hope you had a great day! Here's my card I made based upon the Taylored Expressions sketch! I kept my card clean & simple - but the color combination was too die for! Loved both of these challenges this week!
The Color Throwdown blog has a color challenge this week to use: Taken with Teal, Black, Soft Sky, and Tangerine Tango! I swaped out Baja Breeze for Soft Sky but overall I think this combination is totally great!
I'm keeping my post simple today since I just got home from work and need to run to High School group with the kiddos! So until next time, I hope you enjoyed today's card and make sure and put your guess in for my Blog Candy! The more guesses the merrier!

Life happens. Love helps.

Happy Wednesday to you and Happy St. Patrick's Day! It's a beautiful sunny day here in Oregon and I'm looking forward to sharing with you a card I made for the Sweet Sunday Sketch!
The Sweet Pea DSP Stack of double-sided papers is probably my favorite package of papers SU has come out with! The images are super fun and cute! I used a circle patterned one on today's card and cut it to 5" x 2-3/4", then layered it on top of a Tempting Turquoise card stock.

The Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder is my FAVORITE way to add texture and subtle design to card stock! I ran the entire 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Temping Turquoise with the folder through my Big Shot, then layered it on top of my Chocolate Chip card base!
Stamps: Vintage Vogue (118598 - Clear Mount)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (100908)
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip (102128), Tempting Turquoise (102067), Whisper White (100730)

Happy St. Patrick's Day card!

Hello and Good Morning!!! I made this card for several challenges including Stacey's Curtain Call color challenge to use: Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, and Whisper white and the Everything But the Kitchen Sink sketch challenge!
I don't usually celebrate St. Patrick's Day, I'll be at church tomorrow night, but when I saw this sketch, I thought 'oh fun, those circles could be little shamrocks!'. So my card layout turned those three circles into three different shaped shamrocks!
Hope Stamps Eternal had a Cupcake Inspiration challenge that was too cute and also Cupcake Crafts had a 'Going Green' challenge which I participated in as well!! My 'shamrocks' were heart punches punched out of Always Artichoke card stock, then ran through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder! Love those polka dots for some texture and just plain cuteness! The stem of my 'shamrocks' is from the NEW Two-Step bird punch and I cut the leaves off the flower stem and mounted them on my Certainly Celery DSP! It almost looks like it's Always Artichoke DSP - but I promise, it's Certainly Celery!
Please come and join the guessing game for my Blog Candy! Just a hint: no one is close yet (in a good way)! The more players, the more fun! So click here to join! You could be the ribbon winner!!!

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370)
Ink: Always Artichoke (105219)
Card Stock: Barely Banana (102701), Always Artichoke (105119)
Paper: Certainly Celery DSP (112154)
Emebellishmets: Button Latte (114333), Sherbet Buttons (116312), Linen Thread (104199), Earth Elements Brads (106955), So Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon (Retired - SAB 2009)
Punches: Scallop Edge (112091), Modern Label (116630), Heart to Heart (113594), Small Heart (117193), Two-Step Bird (117191)

Giggle....it's almost Spring!!!

I'm loving my new stamp set, Awash with Flowers (120549 Clear Mount)! Hostesses will earn this NEW set for FREE during the month of April with a $350 workshop or personal order! This set will be in the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog which comes out in July! I recommend using block size 'H' (for the stems) and 'C' (for the flowers and leaves). With these two blocks, I was able to stamp the images and it worked great!

Two-Step Stampin' is probably one of my favorite stamping techniques simply because it's so forgiving and doesn't HAVE to be perfectly in place! It can be 'off' a little and still maintain a whimsical look and feel to it! With 18 images in this new set - it'll be perfect for many different occasions! I'm looking forward to sharing several more Sneak Peeks with you later this week!

My card layout today was inspired by the Clean & Simple Stamping blog, with their sketch #82.
My colors were inspired by the Color Throwdown's challenge this week to use: Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Marigold Morning! I swaped out Old Olive for Wild Wasabi and So Saffron for Marigold Morning (since I didn't have those two colors). I thought Old Olive and So Saffron were very similiar and kept with the fun combination of these colors!

The Pink Elephant blog has a Spring challenge this week and with these bright, fun colors and pretty, whimsical flowers - I thought this card was just right!

Stamps: Awash with Flowers (120549 - Clear Mount), Warm Words (115108)
Ink: Basic Black (101179), Melon Mambo (115656), Bermuda Bay (115655), Old Olive (102277), So Saffron (105213)
Card Stock: Melon Mambo (115320), Bermuda Bay (115317), Whisper White (100730)
Paper: Sweet Pea DSP Stack (117161)
Embellishments: 1/2" Melon Mambo Polka-Dot Ribbon (115611), Earth Elements Brads (106955), Rich Regals Brads (106953)
Punches: 3/16" Corner Rounder (109047), Scallop Trim Border (118402 - FREE during SAB)
Stampin' Essentials: Block H (118490), Block C (118486)
